😃 The Little Pleasures of Everyday Life

Nearest thing on Ebay is new t-shirt for just over £20, so difficult to say how much it might sell for. £20-30 maybe

Thank you. I apologise for encouraging a t shirt sub thread!

I had one from the early eighties with a head and shoulders picture of Margaret Thatcher above the slogan, ā€˜We are all prostitutes’. Sadly I gave it to my son before he went off to Uni, he’d coveted it for a while. I wonder if he’s still got it, could be worth a few quid to someone I’m sure.

Not really a pleasure as I’m going to the Island for a funeral on Thursday. It’s yonks since I’ve been and I’ve booked the Red Jet for the crossing. Do I have to check in through the normal Car Ferry check in or is there a seperate one on the Town Quay for the Red Jet?

:scream:

Has ā€œnot whatsisfaceā€ suspended his membership?

Raindrops falling on my head in the garden this morning - cue for a song!
Also, my big butt is beginning to fill up - not a cue for obscene comments!

Yeah the dog and I got rained on this morning on our usual walk. Quite refreshing really. :lou_lol:

Praise the Lord.
I have a much cancelled Dentist appt tomorrow and the tooth is now broken so pretty damned urgent.

Why?
Because a delegation trip is going tomorrow and they asked for me. Said I didn’t even need my passport blah blah.
Why that important?
They’re driving into bazbot land
Phew

Sopot is Poland’s biggest music festival sans mud but 4 nights of TV.

Continuing the saga of the infected Root Canal. The tooth disintegrated while Dentist was on hold. Today was 3rd antibiotic jab day but turned in to a succession of Kourva, oi Jeezoos etc.
Anyway repair done 1 more trip (will be 4th) and total cost inc new root canal filling still under £100

Not really sure if this the best place for this story, but it did make me laugh and gave Mrs TB some pleasure as well.
Driving through Shirley this morning, waiting at the traffic lights to turn left, and saw a Group 4 van making a delivery to a bank on the corner.
One bloke was loading up a trolley with huge bags of coins, which he then pushed on his own into the bank.
I’m sure the van was full of armed guards, and there were undercover ex SAS everywhere, there being no chance that anyone would snatch a couple of bags of coins and scoot off on an electric something after giving the guard a quick bash somewhere.

Having worked a bank back in the dim an distant past I used to be responsible for their bulk coin.

Believe me if someone snaffled a sack of coins they wouldn’t get very far - they weigh a ton.

Are you seriously telling me that all those pictures of robbers with their bags marked SWAG bulging with coins are inaccurate? :rage::rage::rage:
