The old man telling me that he worked in the Butyl rubber plant at Esso Fawley and the original sheets were given a 5 year guarantee then a 10 year guarantee then a life time one.

Have found a single sheet of butyl rubber large enough to cover the complete roof of his garage so all it need is to pull the Ivy off the top drop the sheet on the roof and baton down the edges leaving the asbestos in place and not disturbing it is a legitimate way of dealing with it.

Batch cooking chilli this afternoon and making various levels of spicyness using the selection of chilies given to me by YoungAdults #1 & #2 for Father’s Day.

Under strict instructions from Mrs C_S and YoungAdult#1 to make some of it at least edible (mildly spicy).

Added a smidgen of Carolina Reaper to one batch. Holy Mother of God a little goes a long way… “hot” doesn’t do it justice!
