You should run it through the first Sony Amp I ever owned…circa 1969…lovely looking piece of kit. Sony TA 1010

Not sure it was a “pleasure” but still making me laugh.
Couldn’t check in to my Penthouse until 6pm. Parked up at 3pm. Walked into town had a beer. Walked back. Still 30 minutes early.
Sit in Van answering FB quote requests -3C dark.
Phone rings.
A conference call. Job interview. Blue Chip Corporate. Unsolicited, someone dropped my name into a conversation & I’m doing a 45 minute interview. Contract stuff but “Western” salary levels.
The pleasure?
We are emailing and talking details and have follow on calls scheduled…
The job?
Talking shit.
Unbelievable Jeff
and no it’s not a job application to do with being a Politician

The other one today.
My Maltesers. Heading to the Mountains.
There is a spot I can stop with a view & a wooden Church just past 1/2 way.
6 of them had NEVER seen or touched Snow before.
Gulp.
What utter JOY. What a moment for them.
I might have got a snowflake in the eye watching them.
Awwwww

I did point out they will fvcking HATE it but Friday with 3 inches coming overnight but at that moment, in the sunshine.

When my Tahitian niece came to stay we took her to Blackpool (in September). She freaked out on the first morning because she could see her breath for the first time ever.

I may need glasses or a bigger phone.
Read that 3 times before it said Tahitian instead of Taliban

Rotel make cracking amps. I’ve got a 2000 ish Rotel amp driving some wonderful Quad 11L speakers in my home office. Gets a lot of abuse but is amazing engineered and always sounds great.

Are they the quad electrostatics, that look like radiators? Quality equipment.
The Rotel I have is the one with split tone controls, you can adjust the bass and treble for each channel separately. 50 years old and still going strong :+1::+1: Using a pair of kefs with it at the moment.

No not electrostatics. I wish
they’d drawf the room they’re in.

These are ‘just’ bookshelf speakers. But pound for pound some of the best speakers I’ve every heard ~£400 new.

I’ve got some Quad 22L speakers in my main music listening room, driven by some Naim Audio kit. And most of the time the 11Ls and Rotel aren’t disgraced.

My back up turntable is a Thorens TD160b with a SME 3009 improved tonearm and Shure M95ed. The SME arm is wonderful piece of small scale engineering, I could watch it in operation for hours.

Thomas Muller was like a new player… seemed past it and washed out in 2018 WC, but some of his touches yesterday were stunning.

Never shave before the end of Lent
Some old proverb I heard somewhere.

I know, right?

It really chafes the nipples.
