Was supposd to be going there tonight but (luckily) had a row with the Boss about driver liability from his new vehicle insurance and said no fucking way am I getting in a Van until it is defined & clarified - Iād be liable for sliding off a mountain up to the value of a new Merc Van - yeah right.
Even in my Hyundai with Combo Tyres at 20 kph I slid past the turning to the village shop

Ended up being a 4 hour trip.
We got the Xmas Tree, so I have a VERY happy Mrs P_F
Carlsberg donāt do perfect days to get a Christmas Tree, but if they didā¦

The road to Auschwitz this morning
Having been doing self-employed work for the last 5 years, I have only just met the criteria and been introduced to the joy of āpayments on accountā, I am pretty good at tucking away money for my tax bill but now I have to find another Ā£900 for January and another Ā£900 for July. I realise that I will pay that money at some point anyway but this timing not the best. Annoyed at myself for being totally oblivious to this, and also annoyed that planning our first out of UK holiday in 4 years is now likely to be scuppered

Iāve been self employed since 1980, and I still struggle with the annual tax return nightmare.
Will you all stop swearing three letter words like tax its very upsetting for us non Income tax payers.

Finally back above freezing - just.
Had a lot I needed to do but saw about a dumped truck full of snow drop from a tree this morning and just missed taking out a car so Iāve done sod all.
