😠 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 1)

Finding more and more companies removing gluten free products to make room for trendy ā€˜plant based’ things. If you don’t want to eat meat that’s fine but that is a life style choice, being gluten free is a medical necessity

Don’t you find more and more people are ā€œgluten freeā€ today, is that through better medical detection or is it also becoming a choice?

There is certainly a choice thing going on, but most people have an intolerance to gluten to some degree, mostly it is just very mild eg feeling a bit bloated after pasta

I wouldn’t be surprised if those people making a lifestyle choice to cut out gluten did feel better as a result

The Ayatollah is allergic to wheat and has a very severe reaction it, however she was very happy when people chose to cut gluten, because all of a sudden the range available and quality improved exponentially

Think more people have realised it.
Warburton white sandwich for lunch. Fell asleep for an hour every time
Googled white bread.
Ate Brown Bread. Didnt fall asleep.
Now dont eat white bread, minimise cakes & flour.
Not medically critical but dont feel like shit

Very much the same as me, without the falling asleep bit…found that bread (brown or white) blocks me up and can take a while to move through my system, pasta not so much so.

Have cut bread and most flour based stuff out of my diet completely, this includes pizza :frowning: but I feel a lot better for it…

I do miss bread though and am considering trying gluten free just to see if that does make a difference.

Being woken up early (10:30)
Because one of Polands biggest Rock/pop & movie stars is coming round for coffee.
And needs MY help with a song he’s writing.

SRSLY?

This could be a LONG story

Gluten free pasta is actually pretty good now - I can’t tell the difference with some brands

Bread is okish

Warburtons make some of the best out there - just sta away from the non fresh stuff unless you are toasting it

Trevor Horn lives nearby, in Lymington. I’ve done a few jobs for him, absolutely top bloke.

Can he sign my Art of Noise albums? :lou_lol:

Funny that. We eat brown bread all the time, preferably the one with grit all over it or seeded, and every now and then we have white bread as a treat, mostly the part baked variety, which is good in the cupboard as emergency supplies.

He signed my Buggles ones, but I haven’t been there for a couple of years.

Ok little pleasures thread for the full story

Yeah, with the legend ā€œHelp I’ve been kidnapped by @scottyā€ before he surreptiously bunged them out of the window.

If that postie hadn’t found that twelve inch of Video Killed The Radio Star lying on the ground, he might still be your captive and you might not have that restraining order

Did Trevor Horn’s missus know about the 12 inches? Could have made all the difference.

Seeing Barry’s name on a thread, which means I have to stop reading, and move on to something else far away, like the bbc.
