Just the plague of locusts to go.

You wouldn’t get problems like those in Bishopstoke. And the lifestyle’s much the same.

Last I checked, they’d left the ME & were having lunch in India on their way to Labuan

Ladyslowlane took a call from “Virgin Media” a little while ago. Apparently there was a problem “locally” with our Internet Hub…they continued “Bla bla bla”

Ladyslowlane says “I’ll hand you over to my husband, he’s more Internet savvy”

Me, “Fuck Off”

The Ayatollah’s foot is really pissing me off

After the NHS debacle we have used our private medical - it’s more broken that a broken thing

Health insurance excess £100
Plastic boot £80
Wheelchair hire for holiday £50 donation
Upgrade hotel room so she can have a shower £200

This is turning into the most expensive bottle of wine I have ever drunk

What sort of private medical policy do you have / who is it with? Personal or company funded? Not good if you’re having to pay for all those extras. :frowning:

Company - Axa

We put an annual excess in because the cost on renewal shot up - the boot was a bit of a surprise - the I get the suspicion that private medical companies are pushing a little harder on claims at the moment

I have heard a couple of stories where referrals for scan have been rejected in the first instance. They have all caved in if you dig in and push back

Nice :+1:

AXA are one of the better ones tbh.

One of the impacts of Covid has been actually being able to use the bloody plans, but that’s changing now the NHS have handed back access to private hospitals.

Trouble with most policies, especially if you buy your own is the benefit limits. Need to go through the terms with a fine tooth-comb as they limit benefits to keep premiums down.

Company funded ones tend to be better value for the employer / member (shameless plug like wot @OzSaintDave - it falls in my line of work advising on corporate group risk, healthcare and wellbeing so tell all your contacts to get in touch!)

Sitting shouting at the TV.
Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb. Netflix.
Shouting?
Because when I went there with my Egyptian Country manager some 15 years ago.
We PARKED on top of that bloody Tomb! Back then it was the car park!
:man_facepalming:
(Note Saqqara the Step Pyramid. Not seen by many tourists not as sexy but was an epic day hiking round the whole site)

Bit like car parking in Leicester.

Now becoming a daily issue at work the bloody EU settlement emails. Seemingly the issues of not being able to track people down isn’t just with Track and Trace but wider government depts. So for all those people thinking they can find us, think again.

I am becoming more knowledgeable about asylum process and the inhumanity of it all. Won’t lie after a discussion with a parent the other day I had a little cry at my desk.

And at home (which of course is work too still) but this is home life - I cannot abide having any news on any more and don’t want to to hear about the US election either. Done.

I’m sorry to hear that @Intiniki

I rely on Mrs C_S to keep me up to speed on mainstream news- she shouts out the headlines and I look them up if it registers with me - I‘m at the stage where I’d probably cry tbh
