Most likely because if the fuzz showed up whilst holding a weapon he would have been mistaken for the shooter and taken out. Also if you are the type of person to do something that heroic you are also the type of person least likely to pull a trigger.

Back in the old internet days when very few of us were internet savvy, I was warned that that this was where people picked up viruses, both real and electronic.
I used to find smutty magazines in the hedgerows when I did a paper round and the school coach driver used to let us pour over the latest āParadeā magazine but apart from that Iāve always gone for real-life sex.
