One of the options is to merge New Forest with Southampton
firstly merging an urban council with a rural council makes absolutely zero sense - all that will happen is that the more densely populated urban area will return more councillors and will prioritise their own fiefdoms to the detriment of the forest
Secondly the forest accounts are in relatively good nick whereas Southampton isnāt and itās about to get worse because of this equal pay stuff thatās going on - so the people of the forest will end up paying for the financial mismanagement of people they never had the chance to elect
