I had one of their burgers once, and itās not an experience Iād wish to repeat. Their chips are OK if youāre very hungry. McDonaldās and their ilk do provide a useful service though, given the current dearth of decent public toilets.
McDonalds does have a place - that place is when you are hanging out of your arse in a strange place (particularly Asia) and are in desperate need of carbs / sugar - It delivers a very reliable supply of both and takes away the risk of ordering something local that might make you spew on sight or turns out to be a broth that just isnāt going to do it

The only thing I eat from McDonalds is their sausage and egg McMuffins, however now I have discovered that Iceland do a really, really nice sausage patty so I now cook my own
I eat about 4 Bacon & Egg McMuffins a year and maybe the same # of basic cheeseburgers. Free parking and cheap when Iām early for a pick up in the mountains
Week ago had a late transfer to the mountains in bad snow, family wanted food McD was the only place could get in and out of quickly at 9pm
Had a Sweet & Spicy Chicken thing chips & coffee.
It was superb. I was shocked. Chicken was in a KFC style coating, was bog juicy & perfectly cooked. Fresh red onions & crispy iceberg lettuce and the sweet chilli had just enough spice.
Family paid for the food and a Ā£10 tip for stopping so paid to eat free MaccyD works
