I didnāt know you couldnāt ride privately owned e-scooters on public land. To be honest the people I have seen riding e-scooters are a danger to themselves and the publicā¦
Kid riding one last night went through a red light, narrowly avoided being hit by a couple of carsā¦
Problem is a lot of people donāt realise, or indeed care, that it is illegal

They need to restrict the speed if they are going to be allowed on the pavements.

Muddied by the fact that there are a lot of cities trialling rentals where it is perfectly legal. From my own experience in a city running one of these trials, it does look fun but I havenāt had a go yet.
Iām waiting until pension day, clement weather and a pavement full of pensioners outside the post office.

There are 2 rental companies in Krakow.
All App based.
They are really handy in & around the centre & used to get people to & from suburban Tram/Rail points.
But they have been problematic, and at a National level pretty strict laws have come in & are enforced.
Mainly pushing their use into the cycle lanes which makes sense.
Oh.
And itās illegal to use a phone OR have headphones/earpieces in
I wish theyād do that over here, the amount of times Iāve been stuck behind another bike on a cycle path that canāt hear me when Iām ringing my bell or yelling at themā¦
