If they’d said “Kill the Old Bill”, you might have a point.

It’s an act of Parliament they want killing, not coppers.

I know that Pap , but given the pictures with ACAB, and string police vans on fire along with many “protesting” with no masks during a pandemic perhaps the world “kill” was not the best word to use?

Edit:

Is this acceptable protest?

If you can list all that and your issue is with “Kill The Bill”, I think you’ve missed the important stuff.

And no, not all coppers are bastards. But a lot of bastards go into the police force knowing it’ll give them cover.

This is well worth protesting, imo. If we start nicking people for protest our prisons will become concentration camps.

Shocking that the potential outlawing of peaceful protests should result in violent protests.

My question was clear and my follow up made the subtext clear.

Judging by the fact that you didn’t answer my question it is also clear you are doing precisely fuck all, whilst criticising people in Bristol putting their lives and freedom on the line to defend your rights.

I am also doing fuck all about it. Are you going to have a go at me too? His original point was valid. I am sure that you understand the difference between peaceful protesting and putting people in hospital.

I don’t really see the point. Can’t you just read what I wrote to Cobham and imagine that I was saying it to you?

This sounds like a threat to me.

Do you think it’s acceptable that the police have killed over 1400 people in the last 32 years?

Could they not do it peacefully?

I don’t think anyone does.

I don’t think many people know.

Shocking stat.

A threat? I was referring to the riot the other night.

Why the need to be so confrontational?

If you support the protests, as I do, then this is confrontational:

So maybe you should pose your question to Cobham.

According to accounts I have read the protest started peacefully and was escalated by the police.

Whatever the case, violent protest is a natural and legitimate response to the violence imposed by our oligarchical state.

No, it’s not.

Absolutely hilarious.

What does it make you arm chair tutters?

When I first saw the slogan “Kill the Bill” I thought that it was unnecessary and overly provocative.
It didn’t say to me that it was going to be a peaceful protest so I sympathised with his post. You on the other hand went straight on to the attack. Do you favour riots over peaceful demonstrations?

You don’t see the irony in protesting against violence using violence, therefore causing more of the same thing that you are protesting about in the first place?
