I’d sign him up just for that first goal to be fair.
Not sure I like his miserable as fuck ‘celebrations’ though. Worse than Mane and Wanyama. All I can possibly think of in his defence is that every one of his goals was a 93rd minute consolation when Napoli were already 8-0 down.
Here’s some perspective:
Robert Snodgrass has moved to West Ham for £10.3m. He is 29 and only has 21 caps for Scotland.
Christ, if I was Scotttish I reckon I’d have 21 caps and I’m only 23…
That’s one of the Porn Twins better buys.
As you were. He has now apparently signed for West Ham. Makes more sense as we know, West Ham sign everybody.
He’s obviously already ordered the claret and blue duvet cover.
Steve Bruce did come in at the 11 hour…
Also looks like Hull are throwing the towel in then? Seems really odd, unless they have something up their sleeve?
The Mail suggesting that terms have been agreed with the player and that he’s keen to move here - saying the dealing is moving closer.
Also repeating what we’ve already heard that we’re in for Spartak Moscow’s CB Serdar Tasci.
The one thing I know about Saints’ transfers in the last 5 years is that whatever is in the media is likely to be inaccurate, but, given the desperate situation we are in in two positions, perhaps we’ve had to be more upfront and open?
Who knows.

Southampton edge closer to sealing £15m deal for Manolo Gabbiadini
Show/hide article…
Southampton hope to sign Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli by Monday after holding further talks with the Italian club.
Napoli are demanding £15million up front with add-ons for the 25-year-old Italy international after rejecting Southampton’s revised offer of £13.5m plus £3.5m in add-ons and a ten percent sell-on clause.
Gabbiadini has already expressed a willingness to join Southampton and his representatives have outlined a contract agreement.
Having begun his career at Atalanta, the wiry forward secured a move to Juventus but never established himself in Turin.
A move to Bologna on loan was followed by a permanent switch to Sampdoria where he impressed enough for Napoli to come calling.
Gabbiadini was a target for Stoke and Everton in the summer while Wolfsburg have also made offers in the past month but wanted an initial loan.
He has made 19 appearances this season and scored five goals, including three in his last three games.
Southampton are also discussing terms with Spartak Moscow for 29-year-old defender Serdar Tasci.

West Brom hope to sign Southampton striker in £15m deal before window shuts
Show/hide article…
Baggies boss Tony Pulis first tried to sign the ex-Burnley star last summer only for Saints coach Claude Puel to block the move.
But Rodriguez, 27, remains frustrated at a lack of regular first-team starts and is believed to fancy the switch.

This article on Football Italia is interesting for two reasons.
Firstly, they describe Gabbiadini as “the wide striker”; this is something I’ve only ever heard attributed to The RaleighBoy before now.
Secondly, it’s full of detail and cites sources.
Thirdly, (ok three reasons) it says the deal could be done today (Tomorrow, yesterday - if you see what I mean).

Yeah I’m going to call bullshit on this one.
2 + 2 = 17
So West Ham have given in. Nice bit of hold firm there… no fuck it take the money, so we can overpay for another 30 year + player!
Has Klopp come in for Gardos yet?

Southampton in advanced talks to sign Mouez Hassen
Premier League side Southampton are in advanced negotiations with OGC Nice for the loan signing with option to buy of goalkeeper Mouez Hassen, according to Nice Matin.
The 21 year old is surplus to requirements with Les Aiglons and is set to meet up again with Claude Puel.
This is a bit random. How many goalkeepers do we honestly need? Especially when you consider Gassaniga is out on loan. It’s probably bollox anyway.
@simon-says with McCarthy injured and Lewis showing he is not quite ready I can see some sense in this rumour!
What was the point of signing Stuart Taylor then? McCarthy has been out for sooooo long now. An abnormally long time for a hamstring injury.
Except that we’ve also got Stuart Taylor.
