Luke Shaw is “almost certain” to leave Manchester United this summer because Jose Mourinho is frustrated at his lack of development.
According to The Independent, United are open to offers for the former Southampton full-back, who has not featured under Mourinho since November.
Senior United players have reportedly spoken privately with Shaw in a bid to help him rediscover his best form and the club has not completely written off his chances of turning things around.
But The Independent says “he has a lot of convincing to do” - with Chelsea and Tottenham potential destinations should he leave at the end of the season.
Too early to write them all off but it is a real shame that nothing much so far has become of Shaw, Chambers and Oxlade Chamberlain to an extent.
Why the FUCK is he not signed already? (Based on this I may add)
…Although Gabbiadini does not cut the most empowering figure, standing at just over six foot one but not really specialising in physical prowess, he is in fact very gifted when it comes to hold-up play
…A key part to Gabbiadini’s game his spatial awareness. An aspect of the modern day forward’s game that is often so frustratingly overlooked is movement and intelligence in the final third. However, this is something that the Italian does possess.
…Gabbiadini flourished in the orthodox 4-3-3 system that was deployed at Sampdoria, operating in almost a free role in the attack whilst remaining the focal point for both creativity and cutting edge
…Given the delicacy in which Gabbiadini runs and uses the ball when in possession, it’d be hard to envisage the Italian having such a powerful shot. However, he has time and time again proven that he can be a massive threat when shooting from distance. His quality from long range was a large reason for his reputation at Sampdoria for being dangerous from free-kicks, with him earning plenty of plaudits from his ability at set-pieces. Wherever he has gone, he has also been profoundly trusted with penalty-taking duties when playing and he more often than not delivers the goods from the spot.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is keen to strengthen his defence and wants 33-year-old centre half Fonte in this window.
Fonte has already handed in a transfer request and Saints boss Claude Puel has dropped the Portuguese defender while the saga plays out.
Southampton are believed to want as much as £12m for Fonte who has also interested Everton in the window with a potential link up with former boss Ronald Koeman.
Manchester United were also interested in the Portugal Euro 2016 winner who has gained a reputation as one of Europe’s top centre halves.
But West Ham are understood to have made a move to see whether they can prise Fonte away from St Mary’s.
Bilic has been given money to spend and a new centre half is a priority as well as a striker in January.
Marseille have made a £20m bid for Dimitri Payet and they are locked in a battle with the unhappy France star.
But West Ham do have money to spend and have made a £12m offer for Brentford’s Scott Hogan while Fonte is also in their sights.
I can’t help but feel this is a somewhat desperate move from us. The guy hasn’t kicked a ball for over 6 months. Therefore he hasn’t been scouted or tracked by the Black Box in that time. It seems more opportunistic than planned.
The fact that it is a loan offer as well means that we are either not prepared to meet their valuation (damn right too if it is £20m) or we aren’t totally sure about him. Or both. Whether that be temperament or ability. I could understand either or both being a concern!
Or maybe only a loan because Claude has seen enough of Stephens (and/or Gardos) to think they can step up next season. No one really knows. There are always many ‘interesting possibilities’ when trying to second guess why the club are doing (or not doing) something.
Worrying news if DP is right about the senior pros getting fucked off though. Something’s not clicking with the new regime, the hierarchy, and some of the senior pros it seems, but no one outside of the club knows what that problem is (it’s just a possible that it’s Kat holding back on transfers, or Reed doing the same, as it is that the players ‘don’t ike Claude’ which seems to be the rumour doing the rounds on a lot of forums recently, or the other one that it’s all Black’s fault for arguing with Fonte and Cedric about what brand of jockstrap they should wear).
Yeah I’ve had bit of Inside Info on this! I was chatting with my brain about it the other day, and he said, you know what? I wouldn’t be surprise if we chipped in and tried to take advantage of the Bearahino situation. Fkn cheapskate deal, like Austin. You can take that to the Bank!
