We still got time to transfer Jones?

Signings probably rethinking after watching the game tonight

He’s talking like he hasn’t changed his mind. Also can’t fly here for two days until he gets his visa. So we’ll likely have to endure more of this lot for Brentford.

Pleased to see everyone is saying no to Everton

Everyone apart from Sean Dyche :pensive:

Bet they both have relegation clauses.

Bet they both have if Nathan Jones turns out to be as shit as it’s rumoured clauses

I honestly can’t say I’m surprised. These promising youngsters are being blocked from entering a very average team and have been for the last few years, there seems to be no pathway for our youth anymore other than a constant merry-go-round of loan outs to lower division and scottish ‘football’.

At least he will earn more while being even less likely to make it anywhere near Chelsea’s multi-billion purchased team :+1:

But - he will have a chance of being well trained, and then sold on or loaned to somewhere where he will get to play first team football, which he definitely will not with Saints.
There seems to be no interest any more in young able players progressing at Southampton; we now plan to buy in, play for a bit, and then sell on for a profit.
Probably looking to finish with the academy and sell some of the land for housing.

If you look at the number of our young players out on loans your first sentence is pretty deeply flawed.

I may be slightly moist.
Mane MkII?

How can this be sustainable?

“Incredibly, Chelsea’s gross transfer expenditure was more than the combined total of all clubs in the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 – and more than the cumulative spend of Premier League clubs in every January window except 2018.”
