Southampton look to have pulled off a major coup as they close in on a loan deal for Liverpool winger Takumi Minamino .
Officials at St Mary’s opened negotiations with Liverpool only this morning over a potential six month loan deal.
Discussions have continued throughout the day with a deal in principle agreed between the two clubs in the last hour.
The 26-year old Japan international is undergoing a medical this evening after which he’s expected to join his new Southampton teammates at their team hotel in Manchester ahead of tomorrow’s game against Manchester United.
