When Guehi gets a place after his showing against Bosnia, you have to wonder whether there’s any point at all in these friendlies other than as real-time fitness tests. As for Grealish, shortly after coming on he supplied a sublime cross/pass for TAA’s goal. So I suppose he couldn’t expect to be picked again.
If only. According to Southgate, he hasn’t been dropped, he’s just not fit enough to be included.
I rather fancy Grealish is being left behind due to what Bobby Robson used to describe as ‘re-fueling issues’ when he was talking about Paul Gascoigne.
