Ah ha…

The Saudi government has an extremely close relationship with Fifa, which is reliant on it for financial support. The state oil company Aramco is paying Fifa £320m as part of a four-year sponsorship deal and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is set to invest in the streaming company Dazn, which has paid Fifa £800m for global TV rights for the Club World Cup.

1.1 billion for a no beer World Cup

Everton’s take over is now complete - 10th EPL club under US ownership - Not sure that this is a good thing - the move to having EPL ties in the US will gather more pace

Plus the idea of no relegation make take hold as TV rights much higher if they can guarantee no ‘bigger’ clubs ever go down…

That didn’t include the Sky pundits who all thought the Scousers were lucky there was no VAR last night.

David Cameron gave one to his barber. As you say the lying oaf dished them out willy nilly, including peerages for family members, ‘sponsors’, and at least one young lady who is either one of his illegitimate offspring, or more likely one of his conquests. The whole system is a disgrace in a so called democracy and belongs in the middle ages. Although it is very amusing watching the howling from the right wing press and usual suspects in the Tory party today at the news that Sadiq Khan has got a K. Much frothing at the mouth, " a reward for failure", etc etc. Strangely they had nothing at all to say when Chris Grayling and Gavin Williamson, amongst plenty of others whose names are surely a byword for failure and incompetence, received theirs. I can’t think why!

“He was trying to be progressive and building from the back but it often didn’t work because they weren’t great at dealing with the press,” said BBC Radio Devon sports reporter Alan Richardson.

“I think other teams sussed them out and there was no plan B, and he wasn’t helped by the fact he didn’t have the best team anyway.”
