Loved that album. Loved Di’anno’s vocals. Loved the raw sound of bands like that before producers got their hands on them.
This is a Def Leppard song from around the same time. I know they’re not Maiden, but it’s telling how different they sounded then to what they eventually became.
Picked the eponymous album up from a charity shop in Lymington when on lunch from Brock college. First Maiden album I bought, and I loved it. Fair degree of proggy influences, great vocals, and some beautiful music. Very different to every other album they did.
That’s the song I plan to have at my funeral.
