Considering you’re the one that’s been making stuff up, losing your rag, throwing around insults, accusing others of obsession when you’re the one that has been causing arguments since I returned - along with your well publicised social skills issues - I’m happy to leave it up to others to make their own minds up.

Don’t forget, we’re not faceless entities on this site - we’ve all met a number of times (apart from @saintbletch but then we’ve said we’ll try to catch up when he’s next London way) so I find it strange that you’re trying to project a state of mind on someone to discredit them on the site (which is what I assume you’re trying to do).

Luckily, I’m not sure your pop-psychaitry holds much clout or substance - a bit like your poor understanding of economics which we’ve identified before.

You can carry on repeating yourself as much as you like - it doesn’t make what you are saying true.

Calm yourself down, have a spliff or whatever you need (although it seems that may be causing you a bit of paranoia), and enjoy the rest of your day. X

I work in ‘mental health’ having had issues and still fighting it myself and whilst not clinically trained as such I know that labelling people like this really isn’t a good thing to do.
Disagreements happen but can’t we be a bit more pleasant about it??

The behaviour is fucking insane.

I am happy to leave the question as to whether Cherts is actually fucking insane or a malevolent little prick.

I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive.

Once upon a time, there was a site called Sotonians, and for the first few years it was running, it used a system that was more suited for a programming Q+A site, not the uber-forum it is that we have now.

It was a period of relative calm. For a couple of weeks now, @WorzelScummage on his own demand, had been “guested”.

Now you can’t really do much while you’re guested. You can’t post, reply or start new threads. You can do other things though. We’ll get to that in a bit.

So I’m looking to add to one of our long-standing threads, New Old Labour in Trouble, and it’s gone. Not there. No longer of this forum.

That’s not all. Loads of other big threads, containing thousands of contributions, were all gone too. My first priority was getting them back, which I managed to do. I then turned to working out what the fuck had happened, genuinely thinking it was a coding error I needed to fix.

It was not a coding error. It turns out that one of the few things you could do at the time while guested was delete any post you created, or crucially, any thread you started.

The logs revealed that Cherts had spent an entire Sunday, deleting threads he’d created, one after the other, knowing full well he’d be wiping out the effort and the thoughts that everyone had poured into those threads. I still have the logs now.

I do not know what type of mind it takes to do that, wilfully, all day, but it’s one of the reasons I think Cherts is fucking insane.

No one has ever attempted to damage this site or its contributors more.

This is why I have very little time for him.

Somehow, I doubt he’s revealed any of this in his clandestine PM discussions.

Did you mention that this was after I requested you delete my contributions from the site, and being told that no, you didn’t want to?

I started deleting my posts, and then realised that I could get rid of my shit by doing it from the start. I mean who has a thread as an attribute of a poster rather than the posters posts being an attribute of the thread.

I wanted my anonymity - you weren’t prepared to do it.

I apologised to the people that mattered, @saintbletch, @Goatboy etc, we drew a line under it and moved on. Holding a grudge for this long (it was a long time ago) is not a good idea, as these things tend to fester and blow into something bigger than what happened.

By the way @pap, you say all day, it was over a 20 minute period one morning…
