Premier League LIVE: Liverpool v Watford and Hull v Southampton

Show/hide article…
Follow Sportsmail’s coverage of the Premier League as Liverpool take on Watford at Anfield while Hull City host Southampton at the KCOM Stadium in two key clashes at opposite ends of the table.
Liverpool will be aiming to continue their fine form against high flying Watford and target to head into the international with three points that would keep them firmly in the title hunt.
But at the opposite end of the division, Hull are in freefall having taken just one point from their last eight games and are stuck inside the bottom three side as they entertain a Southampton team fresh from defeating Inter Milan in the Europa League.
Both matches kick off at 2.15pm before the day’s drama ends with champions Leicester City taking on West Bromwich Albion in a Midlands derby at the King Power Stadium from 4.30pm

Former Hampshire batsman appointed United Arab Emirates coach
Show/hide article…
Former Hampshire batsman Owais Shah has been appointed as the United Arab Emirates’ interim head coach.
The 38-year-old, who played in six Tests and 88 limited-overs matches for England, worked with the UAE ahead of their matches against Scotland in the summer before taking on the role of coaching consultant.
Emirates Cricket Board CEO David East said: "We are very pleased to confirm that Owais will continue working with Emirates Cricket as interim head coach for a three-month period.
“In a short time Owais has developed a strong rapport with the players and Emirates Cricket support staff and we expect to see gains, both in development and on the scoreboard, from his involvement as we enter a very busy playing schedule.”

Saints player helps dump Portsmouth out of the FA Cup
Show/hide article…
A SAINTS player helped dump Pompey out of the FA Cup yesterday.
Midfielder Dominic Gape has been on loan at League 2 Wycombe Wanderers since early September.
In his first league game for the Chairboys his side conceded four goals at Luton, and in his second - at Fratton Park - they again let in four.
But Gape was back at Fratton yesterday to help Wanderers claim a shock 2-1 first round victory.
The 22-year-old has only made one competitive appearance for Sainta - coming on as a sub in a 3-0 league win over Everton in December 2014.
He did appear in the under-21s’ Checkatrade Trophy tie at Charlton Athletic in August of this year.
Gape’s loan spell is due to run out at the end of next month.

Hull City vs Southampton and Leicester City vs West Brom - live scores plus Roboblogger goals
Show/hide article…
Mike Phelan believes Hull should aspire to a model similar to today’s opponents Southampton for the long-term stability of the club.
The Tigers have struggled with off-the-field matters, with fans protesting at the ownership of the club, while a takeover bid by a Chinese and Hong Kong consortium is not looking any closer to completion.
“Looking at clubs like Southampton, it’s terrific what they’ve done,” he said. "From my point of view, looking from a Hull City end, that’s the model you want to follow and interpret in the right way. That’s what Hull could be if everything is in place and pulling in the right direction.
West Brom defender Jonny Evans can understand why Leicester are struggling to juggle the demands of the Premier League and Champions League but will not underestimate them today.
The Foxes were in European action on Wednesday night when they secured a goalless draw with FC Copenhagen to remain on course for the last 16 of the Champions League.
The former Manchester United man said: "They can really, really hurt you if you’re not careful. I think the European football is suiting them at the minute because teams aren’t used to the way they play.
“Their counter-attacking football was what caused the other Premier League teams so many problems last year and they’re still very capable of causing those problems.”
