Something of a coup for West Ham. That’s a title winning manager, going to the London Stadium. This’ll go one of two ways. Karen and the Dildo Brothers will actually live up to whatever pitch they’ve bunged him, and the Hammers should do well.

Option two is that they’ve fed him a load of old shite, and he’ll end up walking or getting sacked next year because of it.

Option one carries its own risk. They could up doing a Pompey or QPR (anyone seeing the similarity there) and spend a fuckload of money they don’t have, buying shit they don’t need. The London Stadium could soon be hosting League One games :lou_sunglasses:

Absolutely! Just read this (from this BBC article) :-

West Ham will give new manager Manuel Pellegrini a larger budget this summer than they have ā€œspent in any window in the pastā€, says co-owner David Gold.

The Chilean, confirmed as Hammers boss on Tuesday, has targeted ā€œfour or fiveā€ players to help the club avoid a repeat of last season’s relegation struggle.

Gold, 81, says West Ham will make a record level of investment.

ā€œWe will probably spend more money in this window than we’ve spent in any window in the past,ā€ Gold said.

Ah, the tried and tested Everton business model.

Then kick off 1st day of next season with 11 strangers in the team. Yep, Allardyce in by December then.

(Mind you their squad, like Stoke, was in need of an overhaul)
