It’ll be interesting to see how things go down in this week’s election. The assembled pro-Nationalist forces are talking up a super majority. Outside the bubble it looks a little bit Life of Brian.

Could just as easily go in the woke bloke thread but The SNP have dropped a humungous bollock with respect to their gender reform act. A bill that does not enjoy popular support in Scotland, it nevertheless got voted through after being debated on for six years.
I really think Sturgeon should have picked a better hill to die on. It didn’t look good before the revelations of this week, which have humiliated her and left her much weaker.
I wonder if they still fancy taking the Westminster government to court to overturn its decision.
Of course the scale of the issue of the actual number trans prisoners is absolutely massive

Using that logic, there are only about 262000 transgender people in the UK population of 67330000. So they aren’t important at all anyway.

The SPS, under guidance from the Scottish government, managed to put a convicted double rapist into a women’s prison for “risk assessment”.
And I’m pretty sure that without the massive negative publicity, said double rapist would still be in a women’s nick today.
It’s what they call where the rubber hits thr road.

So are they women or not. Where to you draw the line. Trans people are women but they don’t have the automatic right to go on a female only ward?
