Come on, be fair. I have said all along, from the very first info, that Sadio was one of four that would likely be leaving [a list that included Juanmi, Wanyama, Mane, and Pelle] but that since Koeman had gone, we felt we had a “better chance” of keeping Sadio, not that we would. The fact that he was even open to discussions was a boost to us. I have also, right from the start, and continously thereafter referred to two deals - one that was nearly done, which was Davis - and another that would be “relatively soon” [who I was greenlighted to hint at the other day] – with another two “further along the pipeline”. I have always been clear about that distinction, that "down the pipeline referred to the two deals that would come later. Please feel free to read back and check if you do not believe me.

Just to blow my own trumpet, because I’m a smug cunt, I told everyone that £35m was the set price for Mane as soon as Utd came in for him.

Do we expect anyone else from the first team to leave. At the end of the season I thought mane and big Vic would go and they have/are. Big bit of profit on the 2 as well.

And we’ll let him have that, like Lambert to Liverpool. He wants to go, he’s on a downward slope age and pace wise, wouldn’t be sad to get some cash and reinvest.

Pelle scored more than Jay or Charlie. And doing pretty well right now. Given the fitness issues with the others, give him a year extra and keep him.

Bucks…peles best feature is his hair. Do you really believe that he’ll be able to maintain that in the next year or two? He’s 30ish and I’m sure those of us who are over that age know that things can start to go wrong quickly. Let’s not have to face a balding Pelle next season. Let’s get rid now.
