Greetings, time to get your predictor caps on again, I’ll be running the EFL Championship and PL Predictors again for the 2026/27 season.

Rather than 2 threads I thought I’d combine them into 1 and I’ll try and be a bit more regular with updates for this season, let’s be honest I was a bit shite last season.

Ya know, I think myself and @PhilippineSaint are going to do very well this season. One of the reasons for this is it’s another year in the Championship and we’re just that one year more savvy about other team’s abilities.

However the main reason is neither of us vote against our brave boys; we ALWAYS back our team in the predictions. What we’ve done is to join our winning team as players 12 and 13.

That’s all very well but whenever I predicted a win for the Saints they, invariably, lost or sometimes drew.

The reason is…you’re overthinking this.

You really need to put blinkers on and put you trust in the team, always a win and in a very few occasions a draw.

I have done all the picks for the championship and the premier league.
In the championship Saints win by a country mile followed by West Ham and Wolves
Relegated are Pompey, Middlesbrough and Lincoln City
No bias involved at all :rofl::rofl:
In the Premier League its a tie between Arsenal and Man City and the three promoted teams go back down with Hull equalling Derby’s record low total.
