Pickford is a good young keeper but he had some shockers last season.
Of course he made some great saves as well - he spent ten months in a fucking shooting gallery with no defenders, so he had plenty of opportunity to shine!
But £30m is absolutely insane, though Ronald has kindly just trebled the value of Fraser Forster, so it’s a great move for us.
30m is crazy for Pickford. They’re desperate.
Says a lot about our scouting that we don’t pay those kind of prices - we know we can pick up a good player for a smaller fee by being thorough rather than chucking stupid money at a club for a player who’s had 1 good season at this level.

Having watched him play many times for United and England…at times ok…but mainly very poor.

Smalling together with Shawcross atStoke… is one of the main culprtits.
I believe that he gets away with many decisions for his fouls…ref would be sending him off every game if not Man Utd.
Sooooo if he did come to Saints…hope not for this reason…he would be punished with a flogging every game…Saints syndrome.
