Summer 2017 transfer window

Would you begrudge any of the above their salaries? As for the insinuation that members of the management are taking an extra huge wedge out of the club, wouldnt that be obvious from the balance sheet?

what is an FF Contract?

It’s the new Fucking Fanny contract, aimed at players who throw their toys out the pram when they can’t get the move they want. Personally, I applaud Les for his work with this innovative new type of contract that should hopefully give the club a bit more power and mean that we’re not held to ransom by greedy players.

Ive just read an artical on Everton beating the 'elitist trap set by FFP" it suggests the rules have now changed and clubs can invest in players without the restictions linked to revenue.

Is this right? And if so surely we should be spending more than Middleborough!

Was it online NYS? If so do you have the link?

£14m for Asombalonga is not a good use of cash in my opinion, and I’m glad we’re not getting sucked into the current trend of spending >£30m on ‘average’ quality players. Still 6 weeks left of the transfer window so don’t lose all hope yet.

Yep we should immediately throw dear sweet Prudence out and welcome the whore of Unsustainability* to give us a real good fucking over. :lou_wink_2:

* Appologies to our lady members if this seems sexist…I couldn’t make it work any other way.

Yes in the Mail on line

Sorry I dont know how to do the link thingy

It does seem that this season more than any other has seen clubs spending stupendous sums of money on EPL or UCL experience.

Surely now more than ever a wise club that discovers gems for “peanuts” by comparison around Europe could actually make big strides…

Also. let’s face it, none of you lot pay any money to an official channel to watch football matches (even though Kodi is now outlawed) and yet these fees are coming from increased revenue from overseas sales. Where the use of streaming is NOT yet illegal.

Equally one to watch will be the situation in Qatar. BeIn Sports now has the problem that in many of their subscription markets, their service is “not available” - Cable Channels have stopped carrying it and subscribers are “supposed” to be getting their money back. Equally you canot buy a new Dish/Decoder system across large swathes of their market. No implication that they would be having any financial issues, BUT there will be a strain on their funds.

We cannot be very far from “Peak Football” - either Internet Tech has to improve to stop (you lot) watching streams or it will simply become more prevalent while UK audiences decline.

Here you go @gavstar , I feel dirty for linking this…

And I think this is what I think Samuels is referring to when he said FFP is dead in the water, or words to that effect

So let me get this right. Everton have smashed the FFP because they have signed an old has been and picked up a never has been on a free?

No, no, no @sadoldgit they’ve smashed FFP because they’ve got a rich investor and are spunking lots of money on an old has been and a never has been (and might never be!)

Talk about weird transfers

Jay Rod scored a nice 20 yarder for WBA. You can see it here at 12:09:
