I see you’ve introduced a deliberate error hoping I wouldn’t spot it. You can’t fool me that easily. :lou_facepalm_2:

If you liked Ozark this one may appeal. Jude Law and Jason Bateman own a very cool bar and restaurant in New York and its a dark thriller.

First episode starts with a major event and then the next four or five fill you in on the three months leading right up to it. I am just enjoying the aftermath now in the last episode.

Yeah I quite enjoyed this :lou_smiley:

Anyone else here watching Pluribus (on Apple TV or a dodgy provider).

Very good premise IMHO..

Can I have a hand grenade please.

Plur1bus is cracking.

But there are a lot of questions - like are they still producing food among many

To slow down my rush through early Brit SciFi (UFO & Space 1999) I’ve started rewatching Farscape.

Crichton really is Jack O’Reilly with the whole serious but whatever attitude.
Clearly why he & Claudia Black slotted in to Stargate so well.

I watched an interesting theory video on Pluribus which reckons it’s a sequel to a Twilight Zone episode.

Potential spoilers for Pluribus, but I found this pretty compelling.

Who he??

I remember in episode 1, when they first see the Stargate for the second time, O’Neill, near the end, says he Macgyvered something together!!

If you know you know!!

I’ve been making the most of my Netflix subscription recently.

Two shows to chat about.

Foyle’s War - Yes, I know it was on the telly years ago, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. Love Michael Kitchen’s withering and precise put-downs. Lots of British talent in it too.

Mr Mercedes - An adaptation of a Stephen King trilogy, so except tone changes and extreme side characters rocking 1970s street speak, but I found it enjoyable nonetheless. Was rubbing my eyes a bit for the first bit of the second season; the shift was that weird - but I soon got on board and enjoyed the whole thing.

A Man on the Inside The Missus tells me that there are a lot of people from The Good Place in this. That I cannot be arsed to confirm, but I did enjoy this comedy mystery series. Plenty of laugh out loud scenes, some very watchable characters. Mostly, it’s just sweet.

Really enjoyed Mr Mercedes, to be honest I think I’d happily watch Brendan Gleeson selling extendable toenail clippers on the shopping channel, but I just couldn’t help but feel that the 2nd and 3rd series were done in the wrong order.

Oddly enough, I did think I’d missed something when watching the second season. There’s this whole new firm that has been established, which as it turns out happens in the second book.

I think it’s down to real life concerns really. Keeping actors about for sequels isn’t easy, but I agree that the series suffered as a result.

These mega mergers in Hollywood never seem to work

Well, they get to put HBO Max and DC on Netflix, and to be quite frank, I am fucked off with having to pay for shitloads of different things to watch the things I want.

That is a lot of very good stuff coming to Netflix should it go through. Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, The Wire, Game of Thrones and DC.

I think it’s a good move for consumers.
