Not exactly streaming but if you view via iPlayer it is: Miss Austin. The BBC adaptation of Gill Hornby’s book of the same name. It’s a beautiful, poignant fiction, masterfully cast and very well acted. I loved it.

Reacher Season 3

Now THAT’s what I’m talking about.
Like everyone who has read the books and been disappointed by a midget making the movies, I have enjoyed Alan Richson & Amazon’s version of Reacher,
Sure, there were some hype-ish moments for the media to rampage over (eg only once recurring characters) but the core of Lee Childs’ Reacher was there.
And so to S3. The hype was about Petie (or Petey) who makes Reacher look like Tom Cruise size wise, and some general disappointment that ,X, Y or Z wasn’t brought back in the imagining of the 7th book.

And it is SO much better than S1 & 2. The Persuader is a classic where Reacher goes down a rabbit hole of small town badness. It is great. Richson is great, and Petie is in it.

So far we are up to Episode 6 it just brings the rabbit hole crushing inwards and we should still have 2 episodes to go.

This is streaming TV for the Beach.- just like the books - 29 of the to date plus short stories. And the guy who captures such a feel of small town America is a Brit.

I am gushing - it really is not perfect nor close to brilliant - it is Reacher, it is not shit and that is wonderful
