Argh.
F1 is boring. I fell out of love with it before I went to Dubai.

Formula 1 Drive to survive Netflix is annoyingly bingeably addictive, and interesting.

It even got Mrs P_F watching. It’s a fly on the wall thing follows “the other teams” (losers) the crashes are epic

Good TV even if you are meh about F1

The Twighlight Zone.
No not the series, where I currently exist.
WhatsApp video call.

Daughter to Mrs P_F
Grosjean is useless, what a jerk
Mrs P_F to Daughter
But he isn’t as dumb as Ricciardo why did he go to Renault? what an idiot.
Then into a discussion about whether Magnusson or Hulkenburg was the hottest.
:man_facepalming:

Think I’ll go back to Doc Martin

Not on Netflix but The Hunt is definitely worth a watch, black comedy with a twist.

Basically the Hunger Games meets the Hostel meets Saw…

Not for the squeamish though…

Oh yes.

He’s back. He may have drifted along a bit in S4 & the side stories of Mum & Dad etc, but the series opener for S5 is very good. Lots of strings, better wit and a few laughs.
A very happy Mrs P_F & I’m enjoying it

Imagine a Superbad/Pineapple Express teenage Stoner movie
That s also a Jason Bourne style CIA Conspiracy shoot em up film.

American Ultra is it.
Borderline gross, borderline stupid.but enjoyably bad

So. Back to Lucifer.
S1 was quirky and entertaining. S2 was OK S3 got it kicked off to Netflix who rescued it partly due to fan pressure.
S4 scraped into S5 by the skin of its teeth.
S2 to 4 had moments, the musical ones especially. The characters were it’s strength and the sexual tension between Decker & Luci was the glue that kept it together.
3 episodes into S5 and somehow they are the best 3 episodes since S1 maybe the strongest yet.
A twist carries the first 2 far stronger than the Mum & Dad crap of earlier series. The writing and in honesty the acting is tighter. The gags are better. EP3 is a nonsensical delight.
Murder on the set of the #1 Warner Brothers show Diablo featuring the Devil as a Cop & an ex stripper as his sidekick.
It had genuine laughs and a delight that an old friend is back on form in these dark days.
Technically it is a winged version of Capeshit, but right now Mrs P_F has a happy place back.
It is now a good show again

What are the views on “Umbrella Academy”? I’ve watched the first 2 episodes and all I am is confused.

Stick with it, season 1 is alright, season 2 is much better

Watched some of S1
It was OK.
In its defence I’m not a big watcher of Netflix shows in their 1st season. Too many get you engaged then get dropped.
A few get good enough reviews or like Star Trek id watch whatever.
So it is on my revisit list

Project Power is actually a decent Cop/Action/Buddy movie.
It encourages on but is never fully Capeshit, hiding it behind the Drug story (look I managed no spoilers)
Jamie Foxx & Gordon whatever Levitt are good leads.
7/10
Good film

Hmmm, good premise, disappointing ending IMHO

Good lead up for a series…

Months (or was it years? ) ago I watched the 1st 2 episodes of The Umbrella Academy and it totally wasnt engaging.
.
Then recently I saw they released S2 with some positive reviews and thought meh.

Then I had a yellow Bloody Mary or 3 (spicy) and tried Ep3. It wasnt shit.

So I watched Ep4 & got into the whole dysfunctional vibe, got engaged through Mary J Blige’s Cha Cha & Hazel & realised that it was as fvcked up as Preacher without the Gore.

Just finished S1 & while it still flagged a bit at times I have come to realise it was actually enjoyable nonsense.

6.5/10 & S2 is supposed to be even better

Don’t watch The Fall.

It’s eighteen hours of your life you’re never going to get back.

So… fucking… slow… Three fucking seasons for one case?

Bollocks.

Ffs…right thread this time…Ok, not Netflix, but Amazon : The Boys, series 2 - first 3 episodes. A glorious limited binge fest.

Marvellous if you want an antidote to all the superhero capeshit. :+1:

Away. Netflix. Hilary Swank.
1st Mission to Mars.
Not the usual Martian/Right Stuff, but written with a view to the impact on the families left behind.
So,"tough, independent Women ( our wives) will like it.
SciFi wise it ain’t Gravity or Sandra Bullock.
Different angle for a Space Show.
Certainly after 2 episodes, falls in the not shit category.
