Bosch: Legacy
New series, much of the same cast, same people behind the show, but Harry is now a Private I.

And so was the next
Not sure if I want to carry on with Breaking Bad (again) when this series is done.
This weekâs episode was good. I loved the fact we spent much of the episode watching Gus shit himself over the inevitability of Lalo Salamanca coming back. It just goes to show, thereâs always somebody badder. I rather suspect his inevitable triumph will mirror Waltâs victory against him; heâll use his brain.
The âGet Howardâ plot continues to intrigue me. Itâs a game of cat and mouse where you donât know who knows what or how many steps ahead someone has planned. After the hilarious confrontation in the boxing gym, neither seem particularly arsed that Howard knows it was them, so is it all part of the plan?
And finally, the return of Lalo in secret agent mode, sniffing around Wernerâs wife to get more information on the super-lab, the one piece of proof that Fring is working against Don Eladioâs cartel. Very tense final scene.
Just finished the last episode of Ozark. No spoiler butâŚ
I canât take Lalo Salamanca seriously when he looks like Steven Toast.
Now thereâs Gus Fringâs old meth lab.
Now a Pret-a-Mangee-eer.
No.
HTH
For someone who watches everything, youâre sadly failing in your duty.
The looming sense of dread looms larger in Better Caul Saul. A very decent episode this week, which spent a good deal of time giving us the basic mechanics of the âGet Howardâ plot. We also get to see Kim Wexler in her pro bono capacity, getting a shot at having some decent money to put into this venture. Itâs a fantastic opportunity for her that will set her up for a comfortable life doing something she believes in. All she has to do is turn up to a meeting in Santa Fe, the same day that the plan is supposed to go down.
Itâs fine, until it isnât and then we see Kim make a literal u-turn away from that good life she was heading to, back into town to save the grift before it collapses. Slipping Kimmy is now fully realised.
Next weekâs episode is the last before a break and acts as the mid-season finale. I think weâre going to have a lot to ponder after the carnage of D-Day.
O Brother Where Art Thou - on Netflix
Directed by the Cohen brothers in the same vein as The Legend Of Buster Scruggs.
Cons on the run caper - George Clooney playing a surprisingly good lead
Absolutely cracking soundtrack
Looking forward to it - as weâre not up to much on Friday at Fam C_S itâll be my guilty pleasure
One of my favourite films.
Good episode- seemed more or a scene setter for future episodes.
Most of the Cohenâs films are among my favourite films. Thereâs a couple I havenât seen. There arenât many I didnât like.
No Country For Old Men?
That one and the black and white one with Billy Bob Thornton. Both proper downers. I know that theyâre good films.
Fucksake, I picked that up the other day. Thatâs another quid down the drain.
Ricky Gervais: Super Nature. On Netflix.
