Into the night Netflix was a quirky end of the world series.
Plane & passengers flying find the world has been ended by a Solar Flare so chase the dark.
Different.
S2 is now on just started watching. I enjoyed S1 so
Just finished the first 7 episodes. True to form, brilliant stuff with suitably âWTFâ moments and a cliffhanger. I gather its topping the Netflix charts again.
I canât work out if I like this series or not. I canât watch more than about half an episode before I feel completely stressed out and infuriated by it all. I donât find the characters behaviour believable or the scenarios realistic. But weirdly I keep coming back to it and plodding through.
Murderville on Netflix- US version of Murder In Sucessville.
Sticks to the original format, filmed way better than we do in the UK, but not quite as amateur and full actor/audience ITK as the UK version. More Police Squad imho. Worth a watch if you know who the guests are.
Reacher - on Amazon Prime. Decent, at least the actor looks the part.
Dodger on iPlayer
Comedy drama series based in Victorian London and loosely based on characters created by Chas Dickens. Christopher Ecclestone plays Fagin.
Written for kids but the writing stands up for adults. Worth a watch if you want a chuckle and donât want anything challenging.
TBF I did originally think it was a documentary about @lifeintheslowlane âs early years
Youâre way off on your timing but thatâs probably because I stole your wristwatch.
Bastard
Amazon. Reacher.
In early lockdown 1 I re-read the superb Jack Reacher novel The Killing Floor
The new show is so true to the pictures that book painted. The Police Station, Roscoe, Finlay.
And finally the nightmare of Tom Cruise as Reacher is exercised some of the dialogue is verbatim from the bòok
Not surprised it was renewed for a 2nd season 4 hours after it dropped on Amazon

If anything, this reincarnation has served to reinforce how utterly WRONG it was to cast Tom Cruise in the movies.
And it took a while but Alan Ritchson was perfect
Iâve been having a look at Reacher, which s a much better adaptation than the Tom Cruise movies. Itâs almost as if having a giant fucking unit going about fucking people up is more threatening than a pygmy in high heels.
I get soooo confused between Jack Ryan and Jack Reacher, why couldnât they have given them different first names.
Doesnât matter. Everyone calls him Reacher.
âItâs just Reacherâ.
Coffee Black.
Peach Pie.
Got all of those on the Reacher Bingo in the 1st episode - called them all moments before they happened!
Finished Squid Game last night. Obviously it has plenty of violence, some quite gruesome, but overall I found it compelling and quite a fascinating take on human nature and the haves and have-nots.
Get on the plane fella!
Apocalypto - start of the end of the Mayan kingdom. In Mayan dialogue (Engerlander subtitles for non Mayan speakers obvs).
Directed by Mel Gibson. Infinitely better than I thought it would be.
Shit ending though tbf
Having recently escaped from a worm hole just about 47million lightyears beyond Cygnus X-1 or whatever, I can really recommend Breaking Bad, having just watched all five seasons in approximately 12 days.
I am tempted to get my old chemistry set out and buy 50,000 matchesâŚ
I just finished watching all episodes of Better Call Saul (again) to get his back story before starting on Breaking Bad again. Answers a lot of questions. Not sure Iâll end up watching all of BB again though.
Thought El Camino was unnecessary.
Better call Saul is actually better written than Breaking Bad in my view, the story lines are also more interesting, I thought Breaking Bad the last few seasons was trying too hard and the story seemed so stretched.
