Watched the Roman Grosjean/Sergio Perez episode of “F1 - Drive to Survive Season 3”, last night.

Just the most fantastic reality TV you’ll ever see as @pap has already said . The production values are superb, photography, pace, suspense, pathos, the best episode in a great show which should go down in Motorsport history as a “must watch”

Very emotional, tugged at the heartstrings for several reasons.

Hello?
Can anyone hear me?
I’m over here!

Ffs. I posted how brilliant the show was at the START of lockdown.

And that episode was nail biting even though I watched it live.

(Although it pretty much ignored the entire George Russell story in the Mercedes)

The previous season when Pierre Gasly was mourning his friend Antoine who died in the F3 race was also superb TV.

As I said many times, the show was a revelation, suddenly the characters became real people and I now enjoy & understand when I watch each week.

Yes I know you’ve been touting this series from the start, thanks for the prompts. We’ve been watching for a couple of months now and Lady Slowlane and I, have like you found it rejuvenating. F1 means so much more than “who won” knowing the back-stories adds so much to normal headlines.

I’ve told you before Phil, you’ve departed this veil of tears for the other side. :ghost:

Who said that?

It’s the Gary effect.

:exclamation: People don’t call their kids Gary anymore. Bug from the trick the boys pulled in Weird Science?

Just finished Life In Pieces S4. Have enjoyed it - ‘murican comedy at its best when they remove the “what’s funny to ‘murican’s “ filters.

Weirdly S5 cancelled because ‘’murican audience research” don’t like it…

I would give an undead two bony thumbs up to Army of The Dead.

It’s Oceans Eleven meets Zombie Movie while basically replicating a lot of the plot of Aliens. It’s also a Zack Snyder gig, which means lots of stylised violence and his latest attempt to out-Tarantino Quentin on the soundtrack front.

As these things go, it’s really well done. Nice bit of lore building explaining the different between fast and slow zombies, both of which exist in this world.

Dave Bautista did a better than expected job of leading the film too. I would not be surprised if he became the next Arnie. He’s supported by a good cast, even if butch engineer from Star Trek is basically playing the same character she does on Discovery.

Netflix have released a load of shit recently in terms of their film output. Thunder Force, for example, is fucking awful. This is an example of them getting it right.

Unfortunately TV heads for the attic tomorrow for a month.
The rented room TV has a Scart connector.

Spacewalker- a Russian language space race typpe right stuff. Realised I needed to switch to Engerlander subtitles about 15mis in. Worth a a watch.

This is a few years old, so I expect some of you have seen it, but I recommend Shoot 'Em Up, a movie which seems to be a spiritual sequel to both Commando and Three Men and a Baby.

And much much better than that sounds

Mrs C_S has been putting estrogen in my Ovaltine again - Love, Weddings & Other Disasters on Prime.

Gentle rom-com with a couple of laugh out loud moments and a lot of smiles…

Phoning the GP on Monday for testosterone injections… harrrumph!!

Was that the one with the knock out drug for the uninvited guest?
Or is that Love Weddings Repeat.
I get confused, but one was on while I watched Utd get embarrassed & bits seemed v funny/cringeworthy at the big wedding.

I have builders bum atm so luckily dont need a testosterone test. And was watching footie with headset on.
Phew

Lucifer S6 part 2 is here. Woop woop!

Just stumbled across Benidorm on Prime. Can’t believe I missed it first time around.

Also a salutary reminder of why I’m a snob and won’t be going anytime soon. :joy:
