Are you a fan of Demi Moore Phil? An acquaintance of mine has carnal knowledge of her. Apparently she is extremely uninhibited, “Pure filth” was the rather vulgar and ungentlemanly description of her talents.

Quite a funny quip from the dude that plays Homelander in The Boys.

So just finished watching the second season of The Boys. As good as the first was, this was much better, with some really satisfying set pieces and character development. This season built on the last, with a lot of focus on Homelander’s secret son, but also introduced a new antagonist with a dark, long past.

For a show called The Boys, it was really The Girls that did the business in the finale.

Agreed - Homelander cracking one out on the top of a skyscraper towards the end was priceless :joy:

There is so much to love about that show. I think my favourite Supe on-screen is The Deep. So many sea animal mishaps.

I’ve not seen this much animal cruelty since Hale and Pace!

Can’t be arsed to check back on the thread to see if I’ve mentioned this but if you have Prime then try Oats Studios: Volume 1

Genres: Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi

Out of my comfort zone (dont like Horror or depressing shit prefer escapism)

Challenger:The Final Flight. Netflix

This is the perfect Sotonians documentary.
We love conspiracies, and raging against incompetence.
We love nice stories.
This has it all in spades.
Most of us know the story, I expect many of us watched it live.
When prompted in the 1st couple of episodes, we remember the cause.
But the detail in this, the sheer arrogance. The utter sadness & despair hits really hard.
Obviously a lot of our modern day elf n safety, and risk assessment came from this.

I rate this a really tough MUST watch. And my heart bleeds for those who made such fateful decisions and the burden they have to bear. Respect to them for being involved in this show.
What a price they have had to pay (deservedly) living with such crushing guilt.
And those families & students who saw their dreams explode on live TV.

GOSH.

Brave New World.
Classic Literature and visually perfect 2020 version of a 1930’s Futureworld.
Enjoyed it.
Sure dumbed the literature down a bit for the masses but I enjoyed it.
The reason I enjoyed it? Not being forced to read the dated book at School and thinking how true to that this adaptation is, but because of the acting who made me care about the characters - even John the Savage.
It is a good show.
And lots of nawty bits may have helped.
Dystopian drug & sex fuelled Utopia? Where do I sign up?

Just watched The Captain on Prime.

German language and in black and white - 2 weeks before end of WW2. Don’t let that put you off.

Teenage deserter - his rise to becoming the Executioner of Emsland. True story. Comedic but very harrowing.

Watch the end credits of the cast in the modern day.

Highly recommended :+1:

Conquest on Amazon Prime.

★★★★

An abundance of smooth naked torsos, gore and non-sensical plot developments feature in this delightfully absurd Lucio Fulci swords-and-sorcery film.

A nude masked female of great evil rules over a ancient land. A man has a bow and arrow that the he can summon and seems to shoot lasers. Some things that act like Tusken sand riders but look like Wookiees help the witch rule. Some of them might be werewolves. There are beheadings, maimings, scalpings, some zombies, some intelligent helpful dolphins and some naked people get shot by magic arrows.

Light on dialogue and budget but high on ideas. The soundtrack by Claudio Simmonetti is a banger too.

Mrs P_F hates horror. She hates Russians more.
I’m not a fan of Zombie movies.
And here we are watching (gripped by) the 1st episode a Russian Zombie(esque) series

To the lake.
Netflix
Encouraging

Mrs C_S “REALLY” hates movies with scare scenes.

It’s become a family tradition when the kids are both back to slip in a cheeky pants-spoiler :rofl:

Update.
More Corona Virus on Steroids, a dash of dumb bitches but she watched until 12:45am when normally passes out by 10pm.
If @Bearsy was still around I’d point out that some fine gratuitous bewbs helped out the 1st episode.
Encouraging so far can see why it is Top 10 here.
