And the biggest name is the biggest surprise.
Steve Coogan as a frazzled, haunted former under cover something is BAFTA winning stuff.
It’s obvioudly brilliant because the Grandson is in it, but not got to his scene yet and the show is gripping.

Putting it here because it has a Science History to it as well as a what if ness, but in reality it is a 9 out of 10 Cold War spy type story.
Not quite Smileys People but.
Episodes 1-4 are dark, claustrophobic and depressing. Tbh they are very clever, detailed and a bloody hard watch.
Ep5 adds a bit, maybe a Michael Caine raised eyebrow the mind searches back about the idea
Ep 6 & 7 these are good, now the investment is paying off
Ep 8.
Well that’s TV. Heart rate higher than after a Red Bull.

I would say ‘unfunny’ is a very generous description. On a positive note it did inspire me to finally tidy the shed rather than finish episode 2.

Will Ferrell was amusing in Anchorman 1 but no luckily I havve other shit to watch

I’ve always hated comedy built on bullying, dominating, shouting.
Too much like early real life maybe. That whole opening scene grossed me out.
Many Centuries ago, at the beginning of streaming, Netflix brought a comic book to screen. No not their excellent Marvel stuff, something the Ladies liked.
Not for it’s stories but for the Actor, Tom Ellis, the Devil decides to become a Private Detective/Cop & is forced to work with a partner.
Popcorn TV much loved with a devilish side story.
Fast forward, Sky are showing CIA a “police procedural” style show in New York with Tom playing a devilish CIA officer being forced to sort of become a Cop with a nerdy partner he doesn’t want.
Typecast sure. Missing a devilish side story so finds a spying one.
Order the popcorn.
Wife & daughter both hooked (it’s Tom innit)
And it entertained me with a slightly more save the world vibe than The Rookie.
