It’s not who I would have brought on from the bench it’s who I WOULDN’T have taken off. Bringing Tadic on for JWP, Davis, Romeu, Martina etc would have been a positive move. Fuck it, Yoshida on for any of the above and stick VVD upfront.
I posted the other day about this but we cannot keep relying on a wonder strike to win us a game because they don’t come around frequently enough. Playing the way in which we are has clearly disabled us from scoring run of the mill goals. Teams are too set to defend against us due to the pedestrian speed. We don’t counter attack as a consequence. Set pieces? WTAF?! Now we (Jay) are even making a meal of tap ins.
As I said, I didn’t watch tonight but I’m struggling to put my finger on it if it isn’t the system.
Keep doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different outcome…

Why would I lie? We were shite and I mean really shite in 93 but there was some right good laughs and it was entertaining in a bizarre way and we knew we were shite as well but every dog had its day, that was right up there and this season ahs been in the fact we have some good players but we’re fucking awful to watch, who’s fault is that?

Re: Branfoot. We went from free flowing attacking football under Chris Nicholl to Terry Hurlock and David Speedie almost over night. The last 6 games are incomparable to how things were under Branfoot. You’re talking utter shite.

gd result. I didn’t see the game, but I’m gonna chalk this down with the games where we were bit better than the opposition, but not v.effective, which is prob 90% of the games I’ve seen this season.
I will tell Puel to play JROD + SUSAN + BOUFANT as front 3 from now on pls, I have Faith in JROD, he will get on Goal Trail soon.
