How will it work?

Right, no idea if this will work, but the only way I can think to make this work is for

  • Everyone to pick a maximum of 4 horses
  • A virtual Ā£100 each way (first 4 places) bet will be placed on each of your horses.
  • The winner returns the odds shown below
  • 2nd, 3rd and 4th places pay 1/4 of their odds
  • The winning poster will be the one that wins the most money from their ā€˜investmentā€™

Where can I see the race?

It will be broadcast (live) by ITV at 5pm - hopefully someone will be able to find a dodgy stream.

After the raceā€¦

Workout your winnings and post in the thread the total amount. These claims will be rigorously scrutinized before Bletch is declared the winner.

In the event of a tie

Are you taking the piss? Itā€™s only going to be me playing anyway. Erm? No idea.

The ones I pull ā€œout of the hatā€ will have something happen to them. Hopefully theyā€™ve made the AI do things like pulling up lame, and non-runners Wouldnā€™t be the same otherwise.

Now youā€™ve set a precedent, if people only select 2 horses are we assuming a 50/50 split or do they have to say Ā£300 on A. Ā£100 on B (got to be multiples of Ā£100)ā€¦
