šŸ–– Star Trek returning to small screens :starfleet:

It took SNW about half an episode

No spoilers.
But not the kids the other wish expression of love tbh

Can you rearrange the words so I can understand :joy::wink:

More than that though.
2 x 50 year old woman doing Action Hero shit
Both (ok I’m old) hot
And THEN rocking the kiss moment.

Pap hates it but those were ā€œunusualā€ TV moments.

But SNW doesn’t need any of that damn they even mentioned the Gorn

Oh, and after I randomly posted a picture of Gort from The Day the Earth stood Still on Twitter…

Kids C_S didn’t bat an eyelid grandad

I have watched SNW.

It’s the best Star Trek pilot ever.

Isn’t it just.
Phew.

I’m amazed we’re getting something positive from Discovery Season Two! The Pike bits were among the best in Disco S2. I was still surprised to see how good this was though.

I love that Pike knows he’s doomed but essentially just decides to get on with it. In his shoes, I’d consider myself invincible until that moment and do the most ridiculously dangerous things.

Hey crewmates. Check me out licking this warp core!

etc, etc.

In amo gst the mess of what has come before, there are moments. Pike is by far the best, tragic & heroic.
But there have been other gems. (Trys to avoid spoilers)
Ryker chilling down the Romulans,
Young Spock & Burnham back story
Admiral Vance, Phillipa Georgiu
The Jurati journey and Q.

But SNW is what we wanted from the movies let alone the TV reboot

This is what @pap wanted to say

Nah, at no point does it say that it was a gigantic failed vanity project for Patrick Stewart, who didn’t want any Next Gen cast members joining him.

Now for season three they’ll apparently all be back.

Meh.

This is the view of Fam C_S

Still enjoyed it, but each unto their own :man_shrugging:t3:

Let’s go everyone, we’ve got a planet to save before breakfast…

:heart::heart::heart:

Star Trek doesn’t need baddies.
It doesn’t need conspiracies.
It simply needs
The Unknown.
