The EFL have had to get something out because tickets need to be sold, but because they cannot predict (or be seen to predict) the outcome, have covered their arse by saying it might be moved / changed so don’t come whinging to us if you book accommodation and travel and lose money

If we get kicked out… I can see us taking the cunts to court. The needs to be a legal basis for this opposed to simply competition rules - and CAS would expect the sanctions to fair and appropriate for the impact of the activity on the sporting outcome.

Exactly, it would set an outrageous precedent that would be exploited by all and sundry who feel aggrieved by previous ‘cheats’ that match results be reversed from seasons past etc etc.
Maybe just a fine and ban us from the EFL cup for a season if any sanctions need to be imposed.

Banning a team from playing in the efl cup would be great for some clubs. They’d actively send nippers out with iphones to get caught at clubs with pant pissing, bleeding heart owners and managers who think their whole life has been ruined by someone filming them telling their best defender not to shit himself on the pitch.
