We may have cheated, but the only manager that can stand up and be self righteous about it is the the one who has never told a player to go down in the box, in fact disciplines his own players when they āsimulateā or commit a āprofessional/take one for the teamā foul. Would that manager care to stand up? Sorry, cant see you? Same goes for commentators or pundits saying player āhad to itā. Self righteous twats now out the woodwork lacking any self awarenessā¦

Its the self- righteous shit spouted by anyone who is not Saints related that not so much annoys me as baffles me that so many people lack so much self awareness. If we did this we did indeed break the rules to try and get an advantage. Hands up and mea culpaā¦ But I hope to fuck that the club come out fighting and highlight how is this any different than try to gaining an advantage through simulation, wrapping your arms around attacking players at cornersā¦ Professional fouls? Yes you can argue that in these moments the ref can exact immediate punishment, but it still means one side is disadvantagedā¦ its cheating. If their managers dont discipline the players or discourage this, is this any different?
The game is full of examples where clubs and players will do all they can outside the rules hoping to het away with it.
Fair play, we need to be punished. But if we are, the EFL should show some backbone. Penalties for golding in the box. 10 match bans for simulation etcā¦ Taking the moral highground is only worth anything if its consistent and right now its notā¦
