Would’ve been tougher if they had a striker.
Still, they got a nice day out and another chance to play at St. Mary’s. Bless their cottons!

Presumably they will follow the pompey model and get the bus out to celebrate drawing the second half.
would/could have been very different if they still had Wilson. Injuries will be their undoing this season, which is a shame.
though would/could have been 6-0 if we had Fonte, Forster, fully fit JayRod?
Injuries happen, and their squad looked weak on day one.
I thought that Cedric (in particular) and Clasie both showed signs that they are settling in nicely.
VVD has looked class from virtually day one.
We’ve made some great signings since RK has been here.
Strangely thought Clasie was pretty anonymous, i didn’t even realise he was on the pitch.
Agree that VVD was, and is, immense!
Can anyone explain the Pelle goal celebration please…
Kiwi masseur. Doing a poor haka!
I think that Clasie tired in the second half but I reckon he looked pretty good first half, Bob.
To be honest, the little I’d seen of him prior to his signing and the few games he played for us before he got injured, I wasn’t that impressed; but, now, I’ve a hunch he’s gonna turn out to be a very decent signing for us.
No Grazi! I said the Haka not the Hokey Cokey, ffs
I thought Wanyama was great, Clasie was great. Cedric was great. Ronald just needs to sort these games out when we go in the lead.
Am I allowed to suggest that Mane went missing?
Again.
Or do we pretend that his mythical unseen runs and excellent off the ball movement are way better than just running past a 45 year old donkey when you have the ball and you get the chance?
Distin bossed him, even when exposed one-on-one.
I don’t know how, but he did.
He did. But Mane’s allowed an off day.
yes, one occasionally…but for me he needs more consistency.
Anyway, have a better week, I’m off to work on some dull shit for a bit.
Thanks for the chips.
Maybe that’s why he was anonymous for me because he did the work without any fuss.
VVD was immense and made up for some bad positioning with some amazing tackles. Wanyama was good but lost the ball far too easily.
Second half all the Saints players were terrible, it’s like they’d forgotton what a football was and didn’t want it near them. Mane was disintereted but there were a few times when he made some good cover takles. Pelle was getting frustrated with the lack of service and was having regular goes at Cedric.
Mind you from my lofty position in the Chapel I didn’t really see a lot of close up play, oh well.
That’s a valid point, could the Chapel claim a refund as the ball only went in their half about three times?
Might be worth asking the ticket office, let us know how it goes…
