Er…no it doesn’t. That’s not what he ‘does’. Davis is a tidy and recycle player. Tadic or Boufal should be pulling those strings.
Forsooth tis but a conspiracy methinks…nothing more…nothing less.
Interesting stuff in the Independent tonight.
Go Google Bazza it’ll cheer you up no end
You got me there LITSL … I just had to Google ‘forsooth’
I get bored saying the correct things,I did say.
I still don’t get what Marco Silva will bring to the party, Craig Shakespeare has a much better record than him.
So every bit of press speculation is true if says what you want it to?
First line of the article Barry.
Southampton are expected to dismiss Claude Puel this month,
If he gets to use his escape clause he’ll be a worse manager than fat twat Sam. Can’t wait.
Except Shakespeare just lets the team call the shots, if you believe the rumours … maybe we should sign the Leicester team, in a joint management role
Srs though, I’m not entirely convinced by Puel but I’d like to see him stay and be given a chance to ship out the deadwood and bring in his own players. Another major upheaval this summer, could be very harmful in so many ways and is best avoided imo … and lets face it, this season hasn’t been the complete fuck up, that some people make out. Sure, we’ve had some disappointing results this last month but look who we’ve played.
Personally I think it’s all bollocks and Puels job is safe. Les Reed doesn’t strike me as an impatient man .
My hunch is, it’s the work of agents and their media stooges, trying to unsettle a couple of our players. Just made up reports of ‘trouble at mill’, all off the back of a few fans moaning about Puel on twitter.
… it could be a whole different landscape, if the Chinese suddenly arrive in the next month
I don’t really think there’s that much dead wood. It’s the “style” of play that has killed my interest in even watching the games online.
Over the years we’ve been at our best when we are pressuring other teams, not sitting back and passing the ball around in the hope of finding (and being able to take advantage of…) an opening or a mistake by the opposition.
Overall the season has been a massive disappointment, with only a handful of games giving us real thrills (and that includes a defeat in the Cup Final). Don’t get me wrong, I loved that day out and have great memories from it, but overall our play has been insipid and uninspiring. Is this the style that Puel wants to play next season? It doesn’t matter what players he brings in, if we play that boring shit again we will lose more than we win and may quite likely be involved in a relegation scrap.
So I guess the question is: has he told the team to play that way because he doesn’t believe we have the players to play a high-pressing explosive game, and if he gets the right players we will play in a different style - or is this his modus operandi.
If the latter then he can fuck off, if the former, then let’s give him the chance to revamp the squad and have a fair crack next season.
The trouble is we’re never going to know in advance, so do we take the positive approach and get behind him, or do we take the negative approach and assume it will be more of the same old shit? Whichever way, the Club needs to make their mind up NOW as there’s no point in letting him make decisions on who goes out and who comes in if we are going to bin him in the close season
I did and got this,
Did not cheer me up
Koeman didn’t high-press.
