Well, that was always on the cards. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Only thing I’m really pissed off about is the third. We could have played a positive free kick and gone for the win, but we played back and invited them on. If nothing else that would have taken some pressure off the back line.
So predictable, I made a ton at 0-2 as I knew we’d fuck it up, two defensive errors at least, United at St Marys have the wood on us, why the fuck did we sit back when we don’t have the defence to do that? Just play as you were doing, that said probably a fair result.

Not at our best today and probably got what we deserved. Cavani changed the game. Jwp getting an early yellow didn’t help.
Oh well. Still got ings to come back. Upwards and onwards.

Bednarek has to be banned from scoring. 3 goals and in each game we’ve led 2-0 and lost 2-3.

They beat us at our own game today, put so much pressure on our back 4 high up the pitch and we can’t do that against teams with such a good forward line. Gave the ball away far too cheaply too many times in our own defensive third. In fairness I thought we were lucky to be 2-0 up at half time, we were second best in everything except direct free kicks. Subs too late again, Adams was blowing out his arse at 60 minutes, Djenepo should have come off earlier too. Overall disappointing but not wholly unexpected.

Ran out of steam early today.
Couldn’t get onto the front foot 2nd half.
Diallo comes on for Armstrong & then for their free kick is in a central position leaving their player unmarked.
Utd pressed very well 2nd half, with better players Utd could create chances out of nothing, we kept having to recycle.
Shaving time thank goodness.
Not making that mistake every again!
The fact we (me), with one notable exception, thought we had a shout today speaks volumes of what a good side we have become under King Ralph.
United have quality throughout and it showed today.
We gave it back to them too often and we looked rushed today but I’m putting that down to them playing well.
To lose after being 2-0 up is disappointing but that’s all part of being a Saint.

Walker-Peters and Romeo both struggled to contain Utds forwards today, we needed everyone to be at their best and that wasn’t the case. Frustrating thing is Utd have got enough quality on the pitch to beat us 9 times out of 10 but still spent the first half throwing themselves around and screaming trying to get half our team booked.
