Brilliant thread, SFCSim. I seem to have arrived at it quite late, but it’s great to look through all these pics. And, as the Kraken said above, you can’t help but feel angry about some of what has been lost, and particularly about what has replaced it.
If the people’s populas of Pap, could let me know which photos they like the most, then I can gage what to post rather than ransoms.
Also if anyone one has any interesting facts about certain areas or people/businesses of Southampton, that would be great as well.

That was the old Library I believe…on the corner of London Road and Cumberland Place. It was destroyed in the blitz and was for a long time just a grassy bank with a large advertising hording until redvelopment.
There goes another tumble weed… I will march on!
