I agree it seems a shame they demolished this impressive building but its enormous size alone must have meant that it was hugely expensive just to maintain it. It would be interesting to know whether anyone ever considered turning it into residential apartments or something similar
The goalie is Steve Bailey, who was at Tauntons with me 74-76. In the front row, the one with the ball is Dave Morton and to his left is Lenny Dellimore. I played with them both for OT’s. Lenny was one of the best forwards I played with and one of the nicest blokes as well.
I reckon the team is Pirellis, who were o ne of the top Hampshire league sides of the 80’s.
