Im not sure where this has come from but JWP is beggining to remind me of Bryan Robson. Too much to hope for but if he keeps getting better next season could be It. All he needs to do is get his drinking boots on and break a few bones
Just looked at the table and jumping up 5 places is not half bad! Just goes to show how tight it is down there at the moment.
That result sets us up nicely for a revenge mission to WBA now. Claude shouldn’t even need a team talk ahead of that one, just show them the table. Beat them and win your game in hand and the race for 8th is on like Donkey Kong.
Not that I think it will happen but Jeff Stelling has been ramping up drama about West Ham getting dragged in to the relegation scrap. But I suspect I’m not alone on here when I say - wouldn’t it be a crying shame if Jose Fonte’s pursuits of more trophies ended up in relegation?! We can only dream.

Its slow getting to the South China Sea
JWP very good tonight. Long chipped one just over and forced a good save from Hennessey.
Tight game.
Saha is a cracking player but is also a diving cheating cunt.
Roger East is a fucking charlatan. Made John Moss look competent.
Redderz MOTM.
Just watching the highlights… seriously, why aren’t we allowed to be awarded penalties?
This
Good to see you, Fowllyd and Bletchy-Blouse tonight. Just home from the game. A few contenders for MOTM I think, which sums up the much improved performance. JWP was also excellent but Davis gets my vote - superb.
Magnificent from Tadic tonight. A cut above.
Shame that Shane Long couldn’t finish a sandwich but oh well. Once Gabbiadini is back we’ll have plenty to look forward to.
JWP has improved massively as well. Delighted to see him adding goals to his game. He’s a bit like Morgan in the sense that for so long, he was understandably viewed by more-or-less everyone as a player who just-doesn’t-score-ever-ever-ever-full-stop - so the complete surprise factor has been a nice bonus. His dead-ball has become more consistent as well this season. He’s always been capable of swinging it in to land on a sixpence with a shit tonne of swerve to boot, but he’s much more consistent now.
But seriously, Tadic. Fucking awesome. The way he dances through players at walking pace is unbelievable.
I agree, Tadic looked awesome. And guess what… he didn’t get substituted! Take note Dusan. Play well, influence the game and you’ll get 90 minutes.
Puel is now proven beyond doubt to have no impact on our performances.
The EFL Semi Final and last night have proven that.
We can win every game between now and the end of the season, and have a 100% Win Record next year.
You lot just have find a way to get me to go to sleep at half time instead of watching/listening to games…
Just watched the highlights again. I love that third goal. Proper football with nothing special but excellent movement and a midfield scorer.
Sort out the defence with a few CB buys in the summer . Keep Tadic VVD Bertrand. Make OR captain and we will be good for next season
A few CBs? How many do you think we need?
Was out last night so missed the game, but the thing that has impressed me most about JWP’s set pieces are how flat he manages to keep them. Whips them in with pace and, as you rightly noted, loads of spin. An absolute nightmare to defend. The WBA game could potentially turn into a set-piece-off.
Agree though, he has generally come on loads this year. Really pleasing to see. That coupled with his newly acquired shooting boots should see us get an extra £10-15m out of Liverpool in the summer.
Really enjoyed that game - great to see Goat, Bucks and Boden Boy Bletch (that one’s going to stick) pre match, and to receive manly bear-hugs from Bletch when we scored. Yes, it was worth it.
We played well I thought - battered them throughout and didn’t give them too many sniffs, apart from their actual goal. And it was a pretty good move that set up their goal - their best of the match by far. When in possession we were a joy to watch - lovely football, and you can really see that this is how Puel wants us to play. Against a BFS team it can be difficult to get the ball down and control the game, but that’s just what we did.
One of the best dead ball deliverers since Becks -said last night on MOTD. Good to see him getting praise at last. Whilst it has taken some time for him to start realising his potential, he was never as bad as some made him out to be. Given another transfer window and a less bad luck with injuries, Puel could end up with a cracking team next season.
Assuming Puel’s missus let’s him stay another year allegedly
#notsettled
What is this???
A rumour.
Unsubstantiated obviously but his wife isn’t settled here in England.
Other one is Bertrand was “less than happy” at treatment of Jose and is off.
About as likely as our superstar striker frequenting All Bar One I expect
Oh
