Social Integration is not happening

Raised this issue before, as i thought it was the real reason behind any problems.

As I have always said the people who make these decisions don’t live anywhere near what they have created, put all asylum seekers in parts of the wealthy South East and things would change hugely, the poor North once again being told to accept when they have no money to accommodate people in need.

And they wonder why Labour has lost so many votes in the North? The southern elite with good intentions will never listen.

So you agree, the problem is wholly the fault of government using people’s ignorance to get them to point the finger in the wrong direction. Not the fault of those poor people that just want to live their lives peacefully in a safe country?

Glad we cleared that up.

You do realise you’re a southern elite don’t you Barry? You know, man from the south paying his way past the system. That’s a southern elite, isn’t it? Ask the poor of Liverpool.

I think or shall I say I read the article as why should the North with so few resources have to spend more when the rich South don’t have to, why don’t the South do their fair share and not just call people concerned about this racist, its wears thin when they’re doing nothing about it.

They’d be far safer in the leafy South, Brighton, Winchester, Canterbury and Guildford for a start.

Labours has lost its core vote up here because of that, you wouldn’t know nor probably care otherwise you’d ask why that’s the case.

As for school’s, you haven’t a clue either, you’d put your child in the firing line for your principles and I wouldn’t that’s what this all boils down to, add to the fact I doubt you’ve been to Speke, parts of Garston and Halewood then how can you comment?

The privileged South lecturing the North on what and what they can’t or should be doing and yet they don’t have a clue.

Your a typical southerner with a slant to the left, good intentioned but not knowing the reality of the situation at all.

So yes I am a hypocrite for wanting the best for my kids but also going against wishes for fee paying schools, heavens above throwing my principles away and wanting whats best for my kids.

You haven’t a clue, comment on the South and don’t pass judgement on the North as you don’t live here and you’re out of touch with the man on the street I can assure you.

I spend a lot of time in Brighton and worked in Canterbury not so long ago. You seem to have a very odd view of what goes on there. Far from being “leafy” Brighton has a big issue with the homeless and people sleeping rough on the streets. There are some very dodgy estates around the area. Canterbury laos has it issues and is far from “leafy” picture you think of it. Perhaps you should have picked more places from the stockbroker belt for your example, but people who live in the real world will tell you that the “South” has just as many issues as the “North.” The “South” also has a great many migrants settling in, probably because it is so “leafy.”

Homeless people aren’t asylum seekers being sent to places by the Government, the homeless have always gone to wealthier places, that’s not new.

We shouldn’t hold the South as a shrine to tolerance as the homeless move there, what a strange example.

Trust me, Canterbury doesn’t have dodgy estates compared to up here, ha ha apples and oranges.

@barry-sanchez there’s some pretty dodgy estates in Bournemouth too, it’s not all old people settling by the sea. Boscombe isn’t called “little Liverpool” just because of the Scouse accent a vast majority of the denizens speak with!!

Canterbury is a barracks town and also is full of students and tourists. It might not be Moss Side, but it isnt all as “leafy” and middle class either. Just up the road are the Medway towns - sound very pleasant but spend some time in Chatham and your idea of “leafy” will go right out of the window.

No it is nothing to up here, you can’t even compare, Mosside is nice compared to some areas I know. Apples and oranges.

There’re not tough just a little rough, how many shootings and murders have there been in Boscombe in the last month?

Their entire football team got murdered in December srs RIP

What about the slums of Southampton that Pap mentioned the other day? Those sounded pretty bad!

Boscombe and Canterbury rough ha ha I nearly followed through laughing.

We are a very small island. Does it really make a difference? There are potential murderers, rapists and thieves all over the place. You seem to focus on division all of the time Barry. Why is that?

Because I happen to live in reality.

I KNEW you didn’t live in Liverpool!

I have just investigated because I am v.helpful and in the last year there was:

0.025 violent crimes per capita in Bournemouth

0.028 violent crimes per capita in Liverpool

Liverpool is very safe, the estates in parts of Liverpool aren’t.

Look up

Bootle
Speke
Litherland
Old Swan
Kensington
Croxteth/Norris Green

Liverpool City Centre is as safe as anywhere in the Country.

Is this supposed to be a reply to me Barry. What are you waffling on about.

Your are a southern elite. Can’t you see that.

The difference between me and you is that i believe in mine and my kids ability. You quite clearly don’t. I feel for you. Can’t be easy to admit you have no real principles. Hope you stop telling others how wrong theirs are now.

Tory or liberal? You come across as a tory pensioner but winge on and on like a sandal wearing liberal.

You’re telling me to, I’m a Labour man not some wet.

Your reality is far from mine so don’t comment.
Ability doesn’t stand a chance, it isn’t a movie whereby the good will shine through you sentimental wet, Jesus Christ people are leaving the new school in their droves.

What is your suggestion?

I am waiting to hear it as many others on the estates are.
