Yes I’ve said culture is not religion that’s pretty obvious, culture is/are a collection of ideas and knowledge from a group of society, right or wrong it’s their culture, we’re afraid to say some parts of others cultures are wrong for fear of being called a racist, this is all well known and documented, do you disagree Pap?

I think its fair to say that religion can have a pretty big impact on a culture insofar as people actually believe it. Its no coincidence that the liberation of women and boost for gay rights in the West has come with the slow retreat of Christianity from the public sphere.

Just a little simple comment that seems to have escaped the rather limited intellect of our resident preacher of intolerance… just how the fuck does culture evolve? … given that a few decades ago, we were locking up gays… we were hanging criminals and a few centuries before that, burning ‘witches’ - let alone heretics and various crimes as part of our joyous and celebtated imperialism… The point is that as peoples move (as they have always done) aspects of their culture and (religion) are changed or absorbed into the local way of life… the issue is one of generations - First generations struggle as they often neither speak the language or find the change too much… 3 or 4th generation and things tend to normalise… The problem with the current situation has been 50 year ‘war’ on islamic states… driven primarily by US interests, has slowed that evolution down somewhat… a situation of our own making.
I ask you Barry, given that you suggest its all this religious nonsense, (when you know full well its not, but a mere interpretation of a book to serve certain interests)… what do you say about Orthodox Jews - afterall their religious ways and garb do little to integrate? I don’t want to answer any of your points directly, largely because I have no fucking clue what you just wrote.
Taking a wild punt at what I’m guessing is the intent of your post, religion is a load of old man made bollocks. It’s very difficult to do a comparison of the respective deities; people spend their entire lives trying to know god or some perceived higher purpose. I’ve spent close on none on any of them, certainly not as a believer.
From my secular perspective, religion is mostly rituals and irrational belief, and from that perspective, you look like a mullah, me ol’ mucker. You ritually come on here to propogate your irrational belief in the hope of winning converts. You could almost say it’s a religion.
And yes, it is bollocks.
Hardly conclusive, though. I’ve know idea how they’ve defined integration or how they measured it but I suspect the above are anomalies - happy to be shown otherwise though.

I suppose it isn’t particularly surprising that devoutly religious communities (of any kind) favour a more insular way of life as a means of protecting their, shall we say, ‘debatable’ belief systems.
Is that interracial marriages in the UK across all races? and is that percentage-wise or an absolute number? I suppose it makes sense given that the population is increasing in general, plus there’s around 600k people per year migrating to the UK (with ~300k going to the other way). - So if your stats are measured by an absolute number its hard to imagine how it couldn’t be the case.
