I must have missed that bit, if so I’m sorry, it hardly changes the dimension of the show and how it went.

I heard all of the programme - the good bits and the bad bits. You seem to have closed your ears whenever anything positive was said.

No I didn’t at all, missing something doesn’t mean I didn’t listen to the parts I watched? Huge difference there, what about Roma people and the Asian guy calling them animals was it? Or something akin to that and the elder guy wanted them out? The social club and only one guy was sort of happy with the situation? It sounds like I am not being selective Fatso, you are.

Nope, Ive said I heard the good and the bad. I’m not saying everyone was happy. What I am saying though is that those complaining of immigrants taking their jobs cant explain the 1.4% unemployment rate. Another fact that you’ve skipped over. There is clearly tension, thats evident from the programme and I know it myself as I have family who live in Slough. I know full well what the complaints are. But I also know that there have been great positives as well. It’s not one or the other - you can have good things AND bad things.

People it would seem in Slough don’t want that compromise anymore, you have to accept that, your personal opinions it would appear are against what the show was saying in the large, 54% voted leave as well, accept and move on. Your opinion it would appear is not what Slough thinks.

fair enough bazza!

:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I thank you.

Pretty obvious isnt it? My point is that you thought it was you, even though I didnt mention your name. That should tell you something.

Good to see this thread thriving still. Double thumbs up from me.

Why don’t we have a sarcastic thumbs up emoticon?!

I seriously worry for your wellbeing.

And I for yours.

I think it’ll be 42 years

6mins 6 secs into the programme, the headteacher said so.

Happy to help

We’ve already been through that, what did you think?

Exactly right. I guess in support of their own agenda, those who do not want immigrants coming here only focus on the negatives. If a migrant commits a crime somehow it is worse and deserves more attention than if an indiginous member of the community commits a crime. It is not worse, it is the same. There are plenty of problems in the existing societies spread around the UK which again, the racists and xenophobes conveniently ignore whilst looking for and scrutinising the negatives to be found with some immigrants. The issue isnt immigration. The issue is how some people have problems interacting with other people.

With regards to jobs, there was a report just the other day outlining concerns about filling job vacancies if the flow of immigrants is stemmed. Also, as we know, many immigrants do the jobs that current Brits feel are beneath them. This country is built on immigrantion, from the Dark Ages to the present day. Instead of spending time on finding fault, we would be better off expdending that energy and building on its virtues.

Who has said immigration is bad? Too much immigration is bad, this is what they were saying, I have never heard anyone say a total ban on immigration is bad, that is not good for the Country at all. It is an issue of infrastructure and fairness, its is about control.

You’ll find or ignore the most people complaining last night were in fact immigrants themselves in recent memory, did you watch the program?

No I haven’t watched the programme yet. I did see a programme just after the US elections where they wheeled out some immigrants who voted for Trump though. Perhaps, having got in themslves perhaps they think their position will be stronger if the walls go up? Who knows but it seems odd that immigrants should complain about more immigrants coming in. Mind you, we are all immigrants from some point in time, even those in UKIP.

Dare I be as bold as to suggest you actually watch before wading in then? You’ll have a valid comment that will be addressed and commented on with full knowledge you understand what you are saying and referring to?
