Cheese Soup?
Isn’t that just watered down fondue?
or with lots of bread, a poor man’s cheese on toast?

That’s because most of us have the attention span of a goldfish/butterfly/gnat/ kitten…for some it’s an age thing for others it’s more likely to be ADHD… .oh, look something shiny
How do we feel about bouillabaisse? I love it, but is it really a soup? It’s billed as such, but you could almost eat it with fork it’s that thick. Incredibly yummy, but I don’t want to take the thread off topic.
It does sound like it, i can’t deny. But it tastes superb. It has more flavour than just cheese. I was as sceptical as yourself until i tried it.
I’d be hung out to dry for this Ste if I did it, nepotism at its finest…
I’m intrigued - do you have a recipe?

I do like a leek and potato soup. Currently enjoying a morrisons own brand three been and tomato soup but don’t like tomato soup on its own. Like a seafood gumbo. I find soups need to be spicy if possible and at the very least will add pepper. Lentil soup is very nice. Spicy parsnip is also good.
not keen on “cream of…” soups or mushroom (although love mushrooms when not in soup). I’m a man of reasonably simple tastes. I wouldn’t entertain a cold soup.
When I used to go to the snack bar at work I used to ask “What’s the soup today Doreen?”
Occasionally she would reply, “Bean Soup”
I would say, “I don’t want to know what it’s been…what is it now!”
Oh how we would laugh.
Was this in the 70’s?
Yep mid '70s into the early '80s.
Cucumber consommé…soup or just water…discuss…
Nothing like being a victim, eh Baz?
Nepotism?
I had one of those Campbell’s condensed soups once and thought, this is fucking salty.
Anyway, my missus says to me, you did water it down didn’t you?
How we laughed.
I drank a lot of water that night I can tell you!
(true story )
A salty condensed soup? Not sure my missus will fall for that.
I’ve never seen a Marx brothers film.
Unfortunately not. I do know it came from a Gary Rhodes book. It was called Great British classics or something very similar.
I’m getting an appetite for soup now, will have to find it myself, again.
You’ve missed out, lardy lad.
This thread has improved enormously per the last page or so.
One of the best things about the otherwise rubbish canteen where I work is the soup. Today was cauliflower and pumpkin
Because of bluff, denial and swerve, hijacked thread but its Barry’s all good.
that sounds shit
Never had that one.
What’s it like and is it a Heinz of Campbells?
