I don’t want to be a pain on this thread and I don’t want you to think that I am deliberately trying to derail your efforts, but I am very anti admin editing. I shall explain why. By having someone else edit my mistakes or anyone else’s mistakes, what is really being said is that the world (or this board) is perfect and mistakes are not allowed to be seen. But as humans we are flawed. We are flawed in our lives and in our spelling and in our ability to link videos. There is nothing wrong with that. It is a reminder that we are human, that we are fallible. A synthetic reproduction of our posts and our lives with all the creases ironed out is a false impression. It would be like removing the rain and only ever having sunny days. It would be like removing suffering from the world and only having happiness. Nature is cruel but not maliciously cruel. We are a small part of a larger system and that system is full of mistakes, errors, sad things, bad things and typos.
Let us be human, Bletch. That is all I ask.

I’ve locked Glasgow Saint’s FIFA 15 thread for the following reasons:-

I locked Bazza’s thread as he’s covering similar ground to the EU “Sotonians position on”. The site does try to suggest similar topics when creating a new discussion. Try to use that if you can.

Bazza, for the record, while we swear like particularly uncouth motherfuckers in threads, we tend to keep foul language out of titles.

To put it into context, Bear - I wasn’t happy with the thread on Thursday. Didn’t feel like it was anything other than a platform for potential abuse, and gave the thread a day’s grace to see if anyone other than StickyWhiteDovePiss was going to post a favourite t-girl. No-one did, and the thread was largely used as a platform to express disapproval (me) and to ask people if they really (no, really?!) liked the girls posted up.
Was the thread fulfilling its intended purpose? Nope. Was the thread respectful to the transgendered? When you take the school boy repeated line of questioning into account and the complete lack of conviction on the part of the OP, nope. The thread wasn’t respectful to the topic or the participants. That, and the fact that the OP was calling for the thread to be closed itself, is more than enough justification.
Fear not though; StickyWhiteDovePiss already has a follow-up thread about whether posters find a gorilla in a Japanese zoo attractive.
Soz Bear, didn’t see the other part of your question. SWDP has not been preventing from posting, nor is locked out in any way. Just the thread has been locked, for reasons stated above.
Edited the title of sadoldgit’s Dumb names for siblings thread. It now reads Dumb names (generally and for siblings) as most contributors are not contributing siblings’ names.
I changed Vitesse Drinks to Vitesse (H) Drinks because I didn’t want bletch turning up in Arnhem.
